Australasian Quilt Convention Expo

In recent weeks, our team has been a part of the Australasian Quilt Convention Expo at the Royal Exhibition Building. The quilt show is run by Expertise Events who are market leaders in craft events and this year they celebrated 15 years in doing so.

The Quilt Convention has many components which includes a 4 day conference for 400 quilters who receive 4 day class tuition including morning tea, all day coffee, buffet lunches and gala dinner to celebrate their achievements.

The general public comes in bus loads from Shepparton, Wangaratta and Frankston full of quilters who love their craft, scones and tea. Lots of tea !!

Our catering team for the Quilt Convention consists of many chefs and a huge kitchen team, delivery drivers, event hosts and their waiters, baristers and service staff. This is a large dynamic team, skilled in making it all flow magically.

Our very famous chocolate, almond & raspberry brownie was a hit amongst the Quilters & rumour has it our managing director even got up to sing “Volare” at the gala dinner… We do promise we are ‘catering with character’!
