Covid – Frequently Asked Questions
“Do you offer Covid safe catering options ?” Yes, we do !! We have created individual lunch, breakfast, morning and afternoon tea packs for social distancing in the office so you are able to get on with business as usual. We can adapt other menu items into individual servings but we can not deliver these individual servings to multiple locations across Melbourne. Our minimum order and delivery requirements still apply.
“Do you have individual lunch and morning tea packs for office social distancing ?” Yes, we sure do. Please head to our Individual Packs page to view the menu. All packed in eco-friendly packaging and labelled for your requirements.
“Do you have individual serves of hot food items, like your seasonal buffet ?” Yes, absolutely our seasonal buffet can be prepared into individual foil containers. Some menu items work better than others, please discuss your requests to our bookings team.
“Are you still catering for functions during covid ?” We haven’t seen a lot of functions come through this year, though we believe functions will be back in 2021. So yes, we can cater functions and yes we can make it covid safe. We have proceedures in place, that are inline with the Victorian Government recommendations.
“Do you deliver to multiple employee homes for zoom meetings ?” No, unfortunately our business model is not set up like uber eats.
“Is your workplace covid safe ?” Yes, our first priority is to provide a safe workplace for our staff and high quality, safe catering for our customers. We want to put your mind at ease by sharing the steps we are taking to keep our customers and staff safe and healthy.
What are your COVID-19 Safety proceedures ?
+ All staff will comply with food safety compliance, 20 – 30 secs hand washing and sanitising
+ Staff are body temperature checked every day & health monitored when arriving on site
+ Anyone with flu like systems is excluded from the workplace until a COVID 19 test returns a negative result
+ Only essential staff are permitted to enter the kitchen, no visitors and no sales people. Limited access to office staff
+ All our delivery drivers sanitise their vans and logistical equipment
+ Each van and driver are equipped with a comfort pack with hand sanitizer, detergent and cloth, facial mask and gloves
+ Contactless delivery to each location unless otherwise specified by the client
+ All delivery crates are sanitised when returning to our production kitchen
What are your proceedres for onsite events ?
+ Staff are body temperature checked every day & health monitored when arriving on site
+ TCC staff are required to wear face masks
+ Food distribution to be by TCC staff only, to create contactless food service to customers. This applies to buffets and large conferences where staff are in attendance
+ Staff to sanitise all touch points at least once per hour, including seats, tables, countertops, kitchen areas and serving utensils. This must also take place before and after each eating service
+ Only essential staff are permitted to enter the kitchen, no visitors and no sales people

“What is your cut off time for ordering?” All orders for next day delivery need to be in by 2pm. (Business hours, Monday to Friday. Our office is not manned over the weekend)
“Do you accept late orders on the day of the catering?” If a client wants to order on the day of their catering we may not have all of the items available. The Catering Company will do its best to deliver all food that is requested by the client.
“Is there a delivery fee for Melbourne CBD?” We offer free delivery to the CBD. All orders need to reach a $75.00 minimum.
“Will my order contain a vegetarian option?” Absolutely! We provide a 30% vegetarian component across every order unless stated otherwise.
“Do you cater for dietary needs?” We cater for dietaries such as fructose friendly, gluten free, dairy free and vegan. They will be boxed separately with the guests name printed on the label. Please keep in mind that we will do our best to provide similar alternate meals where your dietary requirement is concerned, but sometimes may need to substitute hot food items depending on what is seasonally available.
“What if I want to cancel?” We require 24 hour notice on cancellations. If you cancel on the day of your catering services we will do our best to accommodate your cancellation request. If the food is already made you will be charged full price.
“Do you bake your cakes and pastries in house!” Here at The Catering Company we bake everything in house. Our talented pastry chefs work tirelessly to bring you our scrumptious sweet treats. In fact we make everything in house. Have you tried our Signature Sausage Rolls ?
